Plans announced for old theater in Cedar Rapids to reopen as trampoline park

An old movie theater in southwest Cedar Rapids is now expected to reopen as a trampoline park.

The Corridor Business Journal reports that city records show the old AMC and Wynnsong theater off Edgewood Road is set to become "Fun City Trampoline park."

No announcement has been made on when it will open.

The building was sold for $750,000 at an auction in December.

The theater closed in March 2020 during the pandemic and never reopened.

This would be the area's third trampoline park, joining AirFX in Hiawatha and Skyzone in northeast Cedar Rapids.
